About the project
The project provides for reconstruction and upgrade of the original concept offered by Peter the Great and Domenico Trezzini - opening of channels along the street lines of Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg.
The channel along 2/3 Line is presented symbolically and has two levels. The top one is a water tank with a transparent glass bottom. The lower level comprises public spaces that reecho the historical context. For instance, the underground bathing unit is a reference to the bathing pool in the Academic Garden.
Besides, plants are to be set for green beautification, and leisure sites are to be arranged.
