About the project (provided by the applicant) The project aimed to reconstruct the Ustinov family estate, involving the restoration of the estate, particularly the ruins of the estate tower, while providing modern amenities for tourists who wish to immerse into the local nature and history.
The project involved a thorough analysis of the site, considering viewpoints, terrain, historical and stylistic characteristics, functional zones, and natural factors. A standout feature of the design is the "ghost facade," a steel lattice structure inspired by the works of Edoardo Tresoldi. This ethereal facade suggests the outline of the original estate, creating a sense of the past's presence. The red color of the new section symbolizes the heart of the home, evoking its hearth and warmth.
