About the project
The Museum of Military Uniform, located in the Vasilchikovs’ Manor, opened its doors in 2019. This is a unique project of the Russian Military Historical Society, which main goal is to preserve and promote the best traditions of the Russian Armed Forces. The 16 rooms house as many as 86 installations. The museum features a plethora of modern multimedia technologies (touch panels, projections, binoscopes and many more), which ensure free and effective access to information on the history of the Russian military uniforms of the 16^th through 21^st centuries. Digital technologies also showcase the evolution of various types of weapons and military equipment.
