A modern library is expected to be comfortable for its readers. Certain architectural or design solutions are capable of visually or physically changing the geometry of space. Smart design might help a library reach its full potential.
A library’s building, its interior and equipment are all part of what is called a cultural environment. This environment is shaped by a variety of cultural services and a number of microenvironments within its structure, which all are aimed at creating comfortable conditions for individual activities of both librarians and library users. Every library should be a welcoming space that encourages users' communication with each other.
