Piece of News exhibition is dedicated to communication, reception, and reliability of information. This is the first ever exhibition in Russia to cover this subject, and there are about 300 exhibits from museum and private collections put on display there. Works from different epochs, starting with Old Russian crafts and finishing with street and science art occupy both wings of the Benois Block. Masterpieces by Ivan Aivazovsky, Ilya Repin, and Orest Kiprensky are exhibited side by side with works by contemporary artists — Alla Urban, Andrey Bartenev, Tatyana Parfenova, Olga Michi, Tatyana Akhmegalieva, Pokras Lampas and many more. The exhibition offers a new take on the world of information and assures that human beings are always in the epicenter of any technological process.
