About the project
Based on the idea of a private courtyard with connection to kitchen and living room.
I developed the concept by organizing the plan so that you can see through and communicate between several places in / outside the house.
By dividing the social/private areas it gave me the opportunity to open up the social area while maintaining privacy in the private. Kitchen, atrium and living room are connected through the house big windows and sliding doors. All social areas are facing the outside in some way. The corridor runs in the middle of the house and acts as an extension for every room.
The biggest window / sliding doors is placed in the middle of the house to bring light into the darkest core. The balcony inside one bedroom is connected to the atrium / terrace. The roof terrace gets most sunlight. The roofs tilt down toward the roof terrace / atrium to let light down. The rasters in front / back of the house reduce insight with hidden doors built in making it usable for storage.
