About the project
A residence project that emerges in a vegetation-filled site, that was the task requested by the clients who decided to preserve the well-consolided garden plants. Affirming a minimal intervention, Reinach Mendonça Arquitetos then designed an elevated house, in which separated volumes are connected by elegant walkways. The entire set is only supported by slender slanted metalic columns, which have allowed fewer concrete fundations on the original site. The construction system is enclosed either by glass panels either by concrete blocks, aiming for a clean and agile process.
Furthermore, the residence utilizes environmental and performance-oriented systems, such as photovoltaic panels and rainwater harvesting for storage and subsequent reuse. Lighting design and home automation provide a smart energy usage.
Finally, the outdoor wooden deck by the elevated concrete pool reinforces not only the social aspect of the house, but also the complete enjoyment of the landscape and the sea view.
