About the project (provided by the applicant)
The park features a continuous “mirror path” that follows the complex terrain configuration. The project reflects the Soviet symbolism of VDNH: red ribbons, wheat, fountains, concrete, and fireweed. The “red ribbons,” mirror-surfaced installations, dissolve into the greenery in summer and into the white snow in winter, creating shifting perspectives. The image of ears and sheaves of wheat is the most common motif at VDNH. Concrete, widely used in the USSR, was a symbol of the constructivist era. A waterfall with spheres interprets the classical fountains of VDNH. Fireweed recalls the wild fields, adding a bright color accent to the park.
