Some of the bright projects selected by the experts were awarded Golden Certificates – special certificates in some of the nominations, as well as Honourable Mention Certificates.
In 2020, the International Golden Trezzini Awards for Architecture and Design has brought together 744 projects from 59 countries of the world. According to the prior conditions, only 60 projects were shortlisted for the final and only 27 of them became finalists and were rewarded with Golden Trezzini figurines and special prizes. However, many of the experts insisted that there definitely were many more other projects worthy of rewarding there.
Following multiple requests from the Jury members, the Arrangement Committee for the Awards established a system of special certificates that was intended to prize outstanding participating projects that didn’t join the ranks of winners.
Thus, the Arrangement Committee for the Awards decided to reward with Golden Certificates the projects highly evaluated by many or some members of the Qualification Committee and the Jury. Some of such projects had been previously shortlisted for the final of the Awards with the high average score.
Moreover, special certificates were presented to participants of the Awards proprietary nominations. For example, the winner of the nomination The Best Implemented Façade or Interior Project Using Ceramics was selected by the Jury, and several prizers were chosen by the nomination initiators – the team of the Keramarch, the Museum of Architectural Ceramics, and its Director Konstantin Likholat. In the nomination The Best Implemented Interior Design Project Using Works of Art, Pavel Ignatiev, sculptor and renovator, author of the nomination concept and creator of the Golden Trezzini Compasses Prize selected some projects beside the winning one to reward them with exclusive certificates. And last but not the least – Mark Khidekel, founder of the special Lazar Khidekel Prize for the Best Innovative Architectural Project, selected more than one of the participants to award them with certificates.
At different stages of the competition, artistic advantages of many participating projects were mentioned by the mass media, specialized organizations and experts, including the ones that didn’t belong to the Qualification Committee or the Jury. The Arrangement Committee saw it right to awards such projects with Honourable Mention Certificates.
All the Golden Certificates, special certificates, and Honourable Mention Certificates will be sent to the winners by e-mail not later than on December 31, 2020, as high resolution PDF files. The Arrangement Committee thanks all the nominees of the Awards 2020. Participation of so many high-level projects is a great honour for the Golden Trezzini!
